This broken "amusement" space is here contrasted with the elegant statuesque Rita Hayworth character, as Elsa Bannister in an "aquarium." The installation space, and the aquarium, are both spaces are heterotopias. Foucault defines heterotopias as real spaces where one can go (such as the cinema, the museum, the amusement park, the zoo, etc) to experience a place where time, space, and narrative are not the same outside that "other space" back in reality.
