LP Record belonging to Paul Avery (Pawel Avorsky)
Released in 1959, this extremely influential American Jazz record is the only physical artifact that the Pawel Avorsky Museum, Warsaw was able to lend for this exhibition. I am very excited to have it displayed among the digital reprints of other artifacts and documents also from the Avorsky Museum. The cover suggests the connection that the free jazz movement had with contemporary painting at the time, and includes a cut out frame on the cover, displaying the 1955 Jackson Pollack painting White Light.
