The Choreographed Accident, The Strange Adventures of Paul Avery Down to the Underground; This collage is one in a series of Time Displacement Experiments that Pawel Avorsky had performed. A hybrid architectural machine floats above Greater Philadelphia towards an illusory time shift of a cinematic moment. The room expands and contracts in odd fluid architectural structure of an illusory image. During the exercise, Avorsky felt that his travels in quadrants of time and space were real, not just theoretically precise. At the same time memories of forgotten textures of real experience began to appear; he was unprepared to see the pattern on his parents couch in London, and the darkness of its shadow that he experienced as a boy.
