The Choreographed Accident, The Strange Adventures of Paul Avery Down to the Underground; This collage is one in a series of Time Displacement Experiments that Pawel Avorsky had performed. A hybrid architectural machine floats above Greater Philadelphia towards an illusory time shift of a cinematic moment. Paul Avery Collage: Temporal Displacement Device Platform inside the Red Grotto (black and white) Grotto with Red Cage Sleeping anxiously in the strange pink lit hotel room, Italian actress Monica Vitti from Michelangelo Antonioni’s Red Desert 1964 plays his elusive and time displaced lover Paulina. The room expands and contracts in odd fluid architectural structure of an illusory image. Paul Avery performing the Choreographed Accident at the Epidaurus theater Avorsky captured this image during a time displacement experiment. During the exercise, Avorsky felt that his travels in quadrants of time and space were real, not just theoretically precise. At the same time memories of forgotten textures of real experience began to appear; he was unprepared to see the pattern on his parents couch in London, and the darkness of its shadow that he experienced as a boy. Pawel Avorsky was now hovering over a mirage of the reconnaissance photograph of the zeppelin accident on April 6, 1964 which occurred at 04:45 GMT in Cardington, Bedfordshire.
